How come my profile (or any of my friends) doesn't show up as available when I'm online? I

I've noticed that when I search member profiles, many times it says someone is not online when in fact they truly are...Is this a glitch that Yahoo intends to fix because it has been going on for quite awhile...Feel free to test it out by signing into messenger, becoming available, %26amp; then check your own profile at http://profiles.yahoo.com/ and then your screen name...I want to use Yahoo but what's the point if people can't search %26amp; find out that I'm online...Here I was in different interests assuming people searching for those online would find me but I'm always unavailable according to the profile!!...It's not just me, it's everyone I know...Can Yahoo please fix this problem???

Because people can choose whether they want to display their profiles while being online, and that's in http://edit.yahoo.com. By default it's turned off for privacy issues.

Maybe you have it set to invisible, mine does it automatically and most people leave it like that on purpose.

I am trying to change a couple of things on Myspace Profile.... everytime I go to get a new layout or what not I find one but it has all these banners and click here links.....hate it! Where or what can I do to customize my profile to where I don't have any of that? Also I've been to some peoples profiles where they have pics added on to their page and you can't click on it to be directed to Photobucket or Imageshack how can I add things on my profile disabling the clicking? usually at the very bottem of the code it will have %26lt;a...significant code...%26lt;/a%26gt; and in there would be like the words on the banner and like very bottem or very upper right, just delete that and they'll be gone

Well you can get an image code (for the second problem) and just insert the url where appropriate.

or you could go here to skem9.com. I use it and at the bottom of the code you can take out the url link (it's small anyways) cause it's easy to find. (go to generators) or look for codes that hide friends/contact tables %26amp; look for contact buttons.
Use the embed code, I also highly suggest that u DO NOT currently edit ur profile for at least 30 minutes, cuz lots of people r having problems with accounts when they do so to avoid this don't edit ur profile quite yet, i know it's none of my business telling u when to edit and when not too, it's just I don't want urs getting messedup like mine did

My profile picture keeps vanishing!!! Why??

I uploaded a picture of myself to use, since I didn't want to use one of the cartoon avatars. And my picture uploaded fine, and when I was at Answers yesterday the pic was up the whole time, no problem.

But today, when I look at my profile, where my pic should be it says 'image temporarily unavailable'. And I check my answers to questions to see if my picture is there... it sometimes is, sometimes isn't. When I refresh the page, the pic usually comes back.

When I go to edit profile and select 'use yahoo 360 picture', it seems fine, until I answer a question... and then it goes back to no image. When I check my profile AGAIN, it says that there IS no yahoo 360 image (even though there really is...)

I need help! I don't know what's going on! Can anyone help a girl in distress???

i was trying to put all these codes onto my site and

when i went to look at the profile, it didnt show any of the pictures. so if you wanted to put different codes on the same space in the profile (such as music, television, etc.) then how do you get it to show on the profile?

I cannot delete the 360 profile and I cant add another one UNDER MY account name. I can create another profile and even label it to be the default profile, but I have to use another name, which kind of defeats the purpose. Oh no, that's a shame, I'm still having fun with my 360, but still if you want the original yahoo profile, here's how. Go to http://360.yahoo.com/edit/identity.html and scroll to:

"Yahoo! Identity Display

How do you want to be displayed within Yahoo! 360掳"

and select the First radio button. If you try your profile it should go straight to your default profile rather than your 360. I think if you get in touch with yahoo you can have it deleted but I don't know the procedure. Email them and see if you can find out. Also while you're waiting/if that doesn't work, change all your settings to Private so that way even if you can't delete it, at least no-one else will be able to view it. Hope that helped!

I used to have that same problem until I discovered that there are profile editors on the web. They create CSS profile for you. Which all aspects are decided on your own, th colours, the fonts, the transparent boxes...

All you have to do is go to: www.friendster-tweakers.com

Go to tools, and then click on friendster editor

Generate your CSS code, copy it, and paste it to that second empty box in the edit profile section. Save it, and Tada!!!
