Yahoo profile and 360?

When i try to post a picture to my yahoo profile it goes right into yahoo photos and the picture will not post. What gives? On my 360 page when i try to make my 360 page my profile link after i hit save and then view my profile it goes right back to my original profile page. What is going on?

Incase you need step by step guide, here is how you can do it

-on the My Q%26amp;A page, click on the [Edit My Info]

-on the PICTURE section, click on the [Get my Yahoo!360 account now]

-yahoo!360 home page will appear, on the right side, click on [Get Started]

-confirm your identity and click [Continue]

-Click [Start My Page]

-Create a nick name and click on the [Continue]

-select anyone or simply click on the [Continue] to skip

-Enter any information you want or simply cliick on the [Finish] to skip

-Now your yahoo!360 page is created and you can see your name on the left. Click on the [Edit Personal Photos]

you cant do that because you allowed them to see your profile once you are in the net you are open in the public then if you want privacy..you can put next to your profile rescticted to your friends by lucking your profile no one will see your profile except only those people you allowed..same thing that some member of friendster do..but for me it was awful doing that...in the net we dont have privacy........we open our self to the public....

My 360 profile can no longer be seen as my default profile anywhere. Whats up with this?

It seems that in the last few days, Yahoo changed all settings and everyone's (not just mine) 360 profile changed to the 'old' messenger profiles. When i try to go back into preferences in my 360 to reset it to default to my 360 profile; it won't allow it. I'm a bit annoyed because the messenger profiles aren't much fun. :)

It sounds as if your 360 page...and the others that you say have this problem too...has developed a glitch. Send in a beta feedback form to Yahoo explaining in detail (like you did here) what is happening on your page. In the mean time, if you haven't already done it, you should activate your simple URL to your 360 page (settings/basic info/yahoo identity display). That way, if anyone knows your Yahoo ID, they can still find their way to your page by typing http://360.yahoo.com/YOUR YAHOO ID HERE in their address bar. You could also post that link on your OLD Yahoo profile that you are unfortunately forced to use at the time. Hope this helps you out and that they get your glitch fixed soon!

Yahoo Public Profile- Weird Comma in "Location" Field!?

When trying to create a public profile in both of my yahoo accounts (review account information%26gt;edit/create profiles/create new public profile/expand your profile), there is a comma that is always there in the location field. You almost wouldn't even notice it. You can only delete it temprarily, but it keeps reappearing. It makes it so that I can't create a profile, as it won't accept the comma symbol! It says "Your identity contains symbols that are not allowed".

Do you think this is a virus? I have Norton, Spybot, ZoneAlarm, and keep all of them updated and in good working order. I am worried something has slipped past them?

Fake Myspace profile...?

Yes... I would like to create a fake Myspace profile. =)

There is a person that I DESPERATELY need to find more information about, and this person has their profile set to private, so obviously, I can't view it.

And the problem is, I don't want this person to think that I want to become friends with him/her, so I really don't want to add he/she to my friends list.

I tried creating a fake profile of a chimpanzee, (yes, lame, I know.) I requested to be his/her friend on that particular account, but I was rejected.

So now I need to create a NEW fake profile.

I'd like to make it authentic, maybe of a beautiful scene kid or something.

The problem is, I'm not sure how.

And would I be braking some sort of unwritten law by stealing someone elses pics and using them as my own?

How do I setup Windows Server (2003) to default newly created domain users to be configured with a roaming profile path?

Let's say I have roaming profiles stored at the path \\server\profiles\. Is there some key or policy that I can set the default profile path to something like:

I can't give you the answer but perhaps I can guide you. There are two ways that I can think of and each involves the same thing. A script. You can create one that will set the user's profile path to whatever you need it to. Then any time you create a new user, just run your script.

The other way is also using a script but you make it run at startup. You would put it in the logon script of the policies.

yeah there os tons of ways to get layouts. You can go to google.com and search w/e kinda of layout u want. Another way is to go to hotfreelayouts.com they have tons of categories to choose from. But i dont think that there is a way to see your layout if it is private u cant. sry!

I recently got an xbox 360 and i have a profile simply the name was cody. Well i let a friend play it at his house he had internet and he ended up making and using my name and using xbox live with a gamertag i didn't like. My question is this is there any way of changing it back to my plain offline profile titled Cody or coping saved games from this profile and put em in maybe a new one. Like i said its a new sytem i'm still learning about it. Also whats the difference between deleteing profile only and deleteing profile and items. Microsoft put in a provision that does NOT allow you to transfer gamesaves between profiles. You can call xbox live support to change your profile back, but as long as you have all the info present that was used to open the account (credit card, maybe id).

this is what you can try to do..get a memory card for your 360 and save all of the saved games info onto the card..i don't think you will be able to transfer the achievements or not..but im pretty sure you can transfer game progress..and then make a new profile on your xbox and save the games on that..maybe that would work..and if your really really new to the system and don't have that much progress or something..then just make a new one and leave it like that..u can also change the gamertag to something that you would like better..but you have to have microsoft points for that..and those cost money..

Well the reason its 500MB is that the users is probably saving all the work on the desktop or my documents. If you delete it all the users work will be gone. And the user will have to start from scratch. If you think you have it bad now delete that users profile with out backing it up and see how they can make your life even more miserable.

500 megs is allot of space....what is he doing?..delete him and monitor his actions...he is taking advantage of a situation.
500MB profile is not that large. I have dealt with much larger profiles, in the GB range. You must remember a profile not only consists of user settings, but consists of "My Documents", any desktop content, and even outlook and email profiles.

If you delete this profile and allow her/him to create a new one you will lose all the above info.

I recommend making a backup copy of there profile before you delete anything. If you want you can just rename the C:\Documents and Setting\%userprofile% folder and then have the user log on. It will create another folder and profile.

My boyfriend has an online dating profile(more info to reflect answers)?

His last log in is today, and his status is "Prefer not to say". This isn't the first time there has been an issue with this. A few months ago, I found a different profile with his status set as single, with recent pictures. When I asked him about the profile, he said he just used to it to talk to friends he already had, and forgot to change his status to "in a relationship". Could this be the case again? He only has three site friends and noone has written on his profile. I doubt he would forget to change his status again. What should I do, should I confront him about it?

this profile is a div type profile and so i dont know how to add videos to be viewable.

It would be good to give us a link to your page. However, the code you're using on your "custom" profile is most likely causing the videos to be hidden and not show up.

2 Myspace Profile Questions...?

I have 2 questions about editing my Myspace profile...

#1) When you view my profile, there are a coupe of ads at the top left corner that over-lap the "HOME" button. (When you try to go to the homepage from my page, it sends you to pimp-my-profile or something). I've gone through every section on my profile and taken out almost every single code I ever put in there, but I just can't get rid of the ads at the top!! What am I doing wrong?

And...

#2) My profile is too wide. I've changed my lay-out a few times, but it's still so wide that you have to arrow-over a couple of times to read everything! I want it to be where you can view the whole page without arrowing over. Is this because of the layouts I'm using or is there another reason?

okay, to the first one, those codes are imbeded in your profile stuff. There should be a whole bunch of crap at the end of your profile html that has %26lt;a href="http://www.myspace-codes.com.cn/"pimpmyprofile.com"%26gt;" tags. Erase them. Erase from the bottom of the html up to the "%26lt;/style%26gt;" and that should fix the problem of the ads. As far as it being too wide, it's a possibility that it's your profile, but if you've changed it and it still does it, I'm thinking that perhaps it's one of the comments that was left on your page that is wider than most. If this is the case and it's that important that you don't have to scroll, delete the comment. Hope this helps, any other problems feel free to email me.

In Test Drive Unlimited, when I try to change profile, once it has loaded it only has two of the sam

I have a PC and the game Test Drive Unlimited.

I have two profiles on the game, just to make it easier I will pretend the current profile is, 'A' and the other profile is 'B'

My friend is using profile A and he leaves decide I want to swap onto my profile B, so I do. When it has loaded it still says A at the top so I presume that the profile hasn't been sawped yet. So I go into profiles just to find that there are two profiles called B, both which are indentical including what is saved on them, so it isn't just a confustion of names, it is a confusion of an account. So I go into My Documents and then the Test Drive Unlimited folder and see that there are both the A profile and a B profile, but still no joy. In the 'ProfileList.dat' file, everything seems to be correct, but still no.

Can anyone help me succesfully get the game working with the two profiles.

Bad News!

It's not just fouling up because you have two profiles - see the link below. Plenty of players are waiting for a patch from Atari but meanwhile someone appears to have something on offer to limit the problem.

Just in case it is multiple profiles which is causing the problem... Why not try fooling TDU by having a single profile and overlaying it with either A or B as required? When play is over, save the current player profile back over the appropriate player...

There, near the bottom of the page, there will be a description on how you can create the "sub-account". Simply choose the same name for the "sub-account" as you did for the former Profile, and it should work as an e-mail address.

Facebook privacy profile weird question?

I log onto my facebook and see a persons profile at my college. She looks pretty good. I can click on her profile and view her profile b/c if you are in same college, you can unless they have privacy settings on people that is not their friend. I do not know her and she is not my friend but i have seen her around.

The thing weird is i have 2 friends that tried to see her profile using their facebook accounts.. they both go to same college as me and both of them tells me they cant view her profile b/c it is private... like her name is in black so she put privacy settings obviously.

Is there a reason why i can view her profile whereas my other friends cannot? Note, i dont have this person as a friend on facebook.

Do you have any common friends with this girl? Facebook changed up their system so they can allow friends of friends to view each other's profiles. If you have some of the same friends as this girl, that could be how you can see her profile but your friends can't. Maybe your other friends don't have any common friends with her but you do.

These questions are not read by yahoo, you need to contact customer service for your question. These questions are answered by the general public who have no control over your account. Here is a tip. Look at your profile, normally they tell you why it got rejected, most often its because you put some sort of contact information in your description or used some variation of your screen name that any thinking person could just use to contact you by adding @yahoo. Yahoo wants EVERYONE to pay to use the personals, it is not a free service. YOU are paying, they want the person trying to contact you to have to pay as well. Also check your profile and pictures for any words or pictures that would be considered offensive. Unless its strictly an Adult profile they will not allow that to run either. Check the terms of use.

Both my husbands profile and my profile are having problems, recently. Whenever we try to go to them (or anyone else tries), a page comes up that says:

I play Pool on Yahoo! Games quite often %26amp; when viewing my "profile" on there, it shows my old profile. I'm talking about the old skool one before they came out with the yahoo 360. Once in Yahoo Pool page look for your name on the left where it will say....Welcome, "your name here". This will have a drop down list if you have multiple screen names and an edit button right near it. When I go to edit my name it brings me to my old page where the age is still wrong and other crap so its not my 360 profile , its my original profile.

Ever time I go to download my pic to my profile, it takes me to Yahoo!Photo. It doesn't download the pic at all to my profile. This is not a nude picture, so that is not the problem. I tried to look for reason in Help section or even if the Yahoo people knew how to post pics into profiles (now), but it was no help. I followed the instructions that was given, but it doesn't work. It always takes me back to Yahoo!Photo. Sometimes, I'll get an error message saying that I'm not the owner of whatever it is telling I'm not the owner of. I just want my pic (fully clothed in pic) in my profile. Yahoo use to make it easy for people to download pics into profile by the briefcase. What happen to that? His last log in is today, and his status is "Prefer not to say". This isn't the first time there has been an issue with this. A few months ago, I found a different profile with his status set as single, with recent pictures. When I asked him about the profile, he said he just used to it to talk to friends he already had, and forgot to change his status to "in a relationship". Could this be the case again? He only has three site friends and noone has written on his profile. I doubt he would forget to change his status again. What should I do, should I confront him about it?

When I confronted him the first time, he *did* admit that that wasn't the only dating site where he had a profile...but he didn't really use the others. He mentioned that he made a bunch of profiles right around the same time a couple years ago.

*Update* I confronted him about the profile, and he seemed rather confused when I mentioned it. He said that he hasn't visited this particular site in a long time, and his profile probably automatically logged in when his sister tried visiting the site. He also said he would delete all his profiles if he could, but it either isn't possible or he doesn't know how to. He said he'd look into it anyways. He then said he was concerned about me being able to trust him, and he certainly has a point.

Well, you can tell on most sites when the last time they visited it was. Ask the sister if she visited the site under his profile name. Then you would know.

Otherwise I think you will always wonder. And then it will be an issue even though you don't want it to be.

And tell him, the only reason why it is a trust issue is because it was logged into today, the status didn't acknowledge you in any way. And you thought this issue had already been resolved, but this led you to believe it hadn't been.

There is a way to delete all the profiles or at least hide them so ask him to do it and let you know when it is so you don't need to worry.

Tell him the last paragraph you wrote too, so he'll know you do love him, you do want a good relationship with him, you do want to trust him, but you don't want things to crop up that would cause anyone to doubt even if just a little.

I had a friend that had this issue with her boyfriend, but that guy was a complete jerk. It doesnt sound like your guy is from what you say, so I would say you are doing the right thing to trust him. Sometimes worrying bout relationship stuff is just that you arent happy with yourself. I always believe that if you are happy with yourself, you can make someone else happy too. You know him better than we do and his habits. If he is often a little cagey about where he is going or been or if he goes out a lot on his own then there may be cause for some concern. On the other hand, if he is generally a homebody and is where he says he is going to be then that is okay. My husband had his site still running after we started dating but I knew about it. He didn't cancel it either - I don't think he knew how but its off now. In the end I chose to believe he was being truthful and I have found out since that he was true to his word. All I can say is that you need to keep your eyes peeled and your wits about you. If you feel anything else is wrong, then trust your instincts but otherwise, let it drop for now. Trust has to be earned and so far he hasn't made enough effort to make sure you feel okay.

Is it possible to edit a profile for one group and have it be private so all other Yahoo Groups cannot access it? In other words, filling out the profile details for one group, can all groups see the profile details or is it private to that one particular group?

Profiles are a distinct entity from groups. You have a Yahoo profile, and you use that identity to join a group. The identity exists outside the group. If someone finds the profile, they will see your details. However, since the member search facility has been dead for about 2 years now, it's unlikely anyone will find you other than members of the group.

All I want to do is add a Profile Pic!! I don't want to share pics, I don't want to manage my online album, I don't want to add friends to view my pics...all I want is a Profile Pic!!! I have a college degree but can't figure out how to post a profile pic...damn shame!! Hi, avator is for us to create a catoon image and i create my avatar image by going to visit http://avatar.yahoo.com .Make my avatar there and save it. I also bring the icon of avatar on my yahoo toolbar. To do so cilck the pencil, select personal options, select add edit button and check the box of avatar and then click finished. It will bring the icon of avatar on ur yahoo toolbar which can be used by u anytime as per ur convenience.

If you want to want to get a real picture/photo to appear as your profile, you have to create an account in yahoo!360 and then upload your picture(JPEG format) maximum 3 pictures into your personal profile in yahoo!360. Then go to My Q%26amp;A page and

edit your Info and select your yahoo!360 picture as your picture.

Incase you need step by step guide, here is how you can do it

-on the My Q%26amp;A page, click on the [Edit My Info]

-on the PICTURE section, click on the [Get my Yahoo!360 account now]

-yahoo!360 home page will appear, on the right side, click on [Get Started]

-confirm your identity and click [Continue]

-Click [Start My Page]

-Create a nick name and click on the [Continue]

-select anyone or simply click on the [Continue] to skip

Quite a while ago Yahoo anounced that they were going to merge the main Yahoo profiles, the 360掳 pages and Mash into one single service this spring. For good programmers it should be possible to set up a block even for the new service so that minors couldn't enter it. But since it is possible to lie about your age when registering, minors were able to get into every account they wanted to. Also I've seen quite a few 360掳 pages with adult content who weren't marked as adult. I guess it is easier to simply remove all adult content than changing the registering process. I share your concern about the chatrooms and viewing webcams within, because when minors find a way to view adult content on profile pages, they will also find a way to get into chatrooms they aren't supposed to get in. I guess adult content will pretty soon be prohibited in chatrooms too. And I'm afraid that we will have to live with a mostly family oriented site from now on and find ways to post adult content elsewhere.

I am not an adult but yes, there should be an adult community as well as a Teen community where adults cannot access it. In answer to the how will they keep minors something with an Ip address if you answer anywhere that you are under 18 too any kind of registration your IP address will remember that and will keep you out. However there are hacks that can prevent it from remembering.

Facebook help- profile photos not showing up?

A few days ago my profile photo disappeared from my profile (only get a red X), then some of my friends' profile photos began disappearing on my profile page. Now I can't view any of my friends profile photos (all red X's.) However photos in albums and on my Dogbook application are working fine. I'm not having problems viewing photos on any other website. I tried various solutions I'd seen online to no avail. Tried the following: deleted temp files / restored original Explorer settings / upgraded Java / downloaded Firefox and viewed my facebook profile on that (my profile photos DID appear the first time I logged on, but now nothing.) Anyone have any ideas? I've been on Facebook for quite some time and have never had this problem before. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm creating a web-site similar to http://www.face-pic.com %26amp; http://www.myspace.com. I want to create a user profile which can do the following features

1) I want a website where users can send messages to other users

2) Logged in users must be able to upload images which are stored for individuals (just like my space). For example I want users to upload images to their individual’s profile, when they return the images are still there. But other users are not permitted to edit other user’s images.

3) Other users are only allowed to view other profiles.

4) I want users to be able to edit their profile, the problem that I’m having is that I have three pages called “myAccount” “Edit profile” and Profile. MyAccount takes the user to edit profile where they can enter general information like age hobbies etc. I want this information to be stored for that user only and to be taken from the edit page to the profile page which is shown to general users.

Appache can be configured to run asp.net with Mono.

Getting free web hosting in .net is fairly easy, getting free hosting to include SQL2005 is next to impossible. You might incorporate MySQL for a database and possible have better luck for free hosting. There are videos below in the links, but to be able to build a forum and get it in working order in under two days is asking too much. Maybe a month.
You are going to need store the user's ID in a session or cookie and from there you will be able to retrieve it from each page and use it accordingly, ie to load user specific account/images. An example of sessions/cookies in C# can be found here:

You would also check on everypage whether a user is logged on or not and from there you can decide whether to show the profile information or not.

eg:

My profile crashed! How to recover crashed profile?

The story goes like this, i turn off the system restore function a few days ago for security reasons(because the net says system restore function might restore virus back).

So today, my profile crashed when i restarted it. It says windows is unable to load my profile because my profile had either crashed or something(cant remember). I panicked and i restart it again. All my stuff are gone and i dont save my picture in the documents but i save it at the desktop. Now my desktop has no files at all, its like a new profile. I have this important pictures that i saved in my desktop for my school project and its all gone. Pls help me. Is there anyway to recover it?

p/s: i dont mind losing the other stuff in my profile but what saddens me the most is that i had lost all my school project pictures and notes which i saved in my desktop(its actually took me days to find all the stuff). If u have any suggestion pls help me. T.T

If you are using win2000 or XP or Vista, you should be able to go to the C:\Documents and Settings and your old user name. It will probably have your pc name after the user name. Copy everything from the old profile as in the my documents and any other data to your new profile. You will also want to copy all the desktop icons back over too. Once you know it is working ok then delete the old profile. Hope this helps.

Windows Default profile question?

I have this problem with the default profile in microsoft windows xp. When I configure the system and copy the configured profile, let's call it temp1, back to the default profile the following happens.

1. When I log into windows under any other username/profile than temp1 when trying to make changes in excel and word the username of the modified is always temp1. This is also when editing documents from sharepoint team services web pages.

2. I run office as the temp1 user to configure office so I can copy it back to the default profile so office does not need to install for every user.

3. When I decided not to configure the temp1 profile and copy it back to default profile, i ran office as an administrator and was able to use word, outlook, and excel. When I logged back in as any other user the computer asks to have the source media for office. I have already installed Microsoft Office 2003 Enterprise with all the service packs and updates installed.

Any ideas to make work?

You need to open the NTUSER.DAT file in regedit. Go through it and take out user specific entries. Maybe search it for "temp1" or find out the sid of temp1 and search for that string.

Install office from a shared network location, preferably a hidden share that users have read access to.

Okay, let me rephrase my previous question. I came up myself with what to do but don't know how to do it.

If you have two profiles (Tom and Jim) on your Xbox and you have a saved game on profile Tom, can you delete profile Tom and start to play the game on profile Jim instead?

Nearly every game has an option to Load a game from a memory device. Look for this option in the game itself, select the memory unit you are using and find the saved game.

That should work, if it does not, try copying the file to a memory card, and then loading the saved game off the memory card.

after my roomate removed his wireless router (probably a coincidence) my computer seems to have reset xp. it tells me my profile cannot be loaded from file. all of my files and docs are still on drive c but not connected with my profile, this happens with the other user account on here as well. yesterday I put most of my user profile back the way it was but it didnt save any of it and now I will have to start over. what do I do? maybe re-intall xp? I dont know and cannot afford to take it to the shop. HELP ME PLEASE

Your profiles have corruption in them, and that is why you received the message that you did. When you have a corrupt profile, Windows will use the settings in the Default User profile when it creates a new profile. If you continue to experience this problem with the new problem, then the Default User profile is also corrupted. Profile corruption usually occurs from improper log off and/or shut down, virus, spy/adaware. Your only recourse then is to backup your data (which will still exist under the Documents and Settings Folder, under your old profile) and perform a clean install of Windows (meaning wipe the hard drive clean before installing Windows, do not install Windows on top of the existing installation as you will just inherit the problems of your old OS).

In this video example: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_76HzbjK... you see that "SMP FILMS" is the banner of that video. How do I add that? And also, how do I make the channel icon(55 x 55) I uploaded used as my profile/channel icon in in my video pages?

Also in this example profile/channel: (http://www.youtube.com/user/smpfilms) How do I add that big profile header(875 x 50) above that says "THIS IS A WASTE OF BANNER SPACE.....see :)"

I've been trying to figure this out for so long but never found a solution or answer. My YouTube account is also a Director type account. Another example of what I'm talking about is:

you cant add the banner unless you are a youtube partner. recently youtube also made some of the most popular people on youtube parners, so they have those banners to.

To make a channel image chose the image then put it in a video. like this one: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NmvYyI--O0...

That way the picture is in the middle of the video and will be the icon for the video. then go into my videos and find the video. click "make channel icon" and it should appear as your picture on your channel

for bebo profile views to work, a persons bebo profile must record your ip address to recongise that someone viewed their profile for their page view to go up by one. however, since it logged your ip address, does this mean that next time you sign in and look at that same profile that it wont affect their profile views? or will it still count that same ip address as viewing that persons profile a second time? basically, if you look at a profile once, is that the only time it records you looking at that profile?

I don't know about adding it from a file on your computer. Your yahoo answer picture should be the same as your avatar on your yahoo mail page. That's weird that it didn't work.
Go to your Q%26amp;A page, hit EDIT MY INFO and it will take you to where you can create and post your avatar
