Creating fake dating profile to bust BF?

I created a fake profile on a dating site to see if a person on there (that sounds a lot like my boyfriend) would contact me (I did not contact the person, I just set this profile out there with fake pictures to see if this person would hit. I had confronted by BF with the profile asking him directly if it was him and he denied it).

After a couple of days of my profile being on the website, I got an email from this person. I answered back to this person to see if I could confirm his identity, though he gave me a slightly different name. Based on statements this person made, I absolutely know that it is my BF. I asked the person to send me photos. How do I confront my BF about having a profile on a dating site and admit that I made up a fake person, complete with photos, to find out if he was actually the person behind the profile that I suspected was him anyway? I actually feel guilty, like I am wrong b/c I made up a fake person! Help!!

You were very clever to do that. Don't feel badly. If you didn't do this, you'd still be worrying. Don't confront him right now. See if you can get him to send his phone number. If you get your boyfriend's number, you know it's him.

Then break up with him. When he asks why, you casually mention the dating site. Don't even let him know what you did, just tell him you know about his dating profile.

U should fee guilty. I would! But at least now you know he can't be trusted. He's probably cheated on you b4. I don't know how you should confront him though. That's tough.
If he is then you did the right thing.

The only thing is if he isn't your boyfreind and the guy is heart broken.
omg, if you distrust your boyfriend enough to waste all that time trying to trick him, why are you still dating him?
