used to be able to click on view profile on messenger and either view your own profile or type in the user id of the profile you wanted to view. now I can't view a profile that is not on my messenger list and this profile that I want to check has never been in the yahoo directory and is an active profile. why can't I view profiles not on my messenger list?

The best way to check out a user profile is to go to http://profiles.yahoo.com/abcd where abcd = the Yahoo! ID of the person's profile you wish to view.
