One computer, two profiles, one question. How come I hear sounds from profile two . . .?

Okay, here's the deal. I have one Windows computer ('C' for short). 'C' has two profiles, one for work ('W') and one for leisure ('L'). I have signed into 'L'. I get out of 'L', but I'm still logged in, and sign into 'W'. I'm working on 'W' and I hear noises from my computer (like an instant message sound). I look closer and find that the noises are coming from profile 'L'. How can I stop noises from different profiles from sounding when I'm logged into a different profile? It's rather annoying and I wanna stop it.

Log out of "L" before logging onto "W" and you won't hear them while in "W".
Not possible
