Profile can't be found. Might be corrupted.. HELP PLS..?

My poor friend is going nuts - When he tries to log onto his profile, s box comes up saying 'Your profile can't be found, might be corrupted'. Another box comes up saying 'Load default profile', when he tries this his PC restarts!! Using Windows XP

Pls help if u can....

if profile is corrupted then then it not possible to correct it.

create the new profile and use it. Enter as an administrator and copy and paste the required files from the corrupted profile from document and settings in my computer
